Bumbo Floor Seat ... the extra hands moms need!

When my niece had her second child, she also had a very healthy, active two year old boy that needed her attention.

 

Having a Bumbo chair/seat was like having an extra person around to help her, because this product gives aid to a baby that cannot sit up for themselves.

A Bumbo seat can be placed on any flat floor surface and can serve a number of purposes. You can feed your baby with it sitting properly or just have him/her sit next to you in the room giving them a sense of belonging. My niece also uses it so that her baby can be in the room while the older brother plays.

There is a plastic serving/play table top that attaches easily to the front of the seat. While mom is otherwise engaged, the baby can play with a rattle or toy.

The seat itself is soft and squishy or foamy like, so the child won't get hurt on it. You can see from the photo below that the baby sits quite upright and won't slip out of it. My nephew was rather small when he was born and this worked out great for him. Make sure that your baby can support its head though before you try using this seat.

It has a seat belt to help support the baby and help it sit upright so he/she can interact with their surroundings. I recommend that you use it, even though some people may skip it..

Having something that is lightweight makes it easy to move from room to room without much fuss. You can get it without the tray, but purchasing them together is more economical. It comes in aqua, blue, pink, lilac, lilac, mint or lime.

Baby #2 does like his little seat and loves sitting on the floor watching older brother play. My niece just put him in here and was watching him.  He was calling the shots that day needing to have his brother in sight.

Be sure not to leave baby unattended without the seat belt or attached tray.

The Bumbo Seat is sold without the tray or with it. You decide which is best. When baby is using the seat be sure to fasten the safety belt.

Having a cloth seat cover on the Bumbo seat makes it easy to maintain and keep clean. All you need to do is remove it and toss it in the washer and place back on the Bumbo ready for baby's use.

Older brother has no problem fitting in the Bumbo seat.

His brother was having fun seeing if he could still fit. You can see he can, but I don't think it will be long. Mom will need it for baby soon.
